Today Odyssee Pictures officially wrapped production on Jacob, Larry Carrell’s psychological horror film about the tragedy that befalls a small town in the mid seventies when a disturbed boy disappears with his little sister and the town takes up arms seeking vengeance.
Carrell said “I felt what we got on the screen achieved, or exceeded what I had in my head ten years ago when I wrote the screenplay, and I have the cast and crew to thank for that. They all did an an awesome job. I’m really excited about getting into post.”
Producer, cinematographer and editor Stacy Davidson added “this represents the first production of another director’s vision under the Odyssee Pictures label, and I couldn’t be more proud of what Larry and the cast and crew did with it. I’m just really excited to see Odyssee grow this way, and I’m anxious to see where we can take it from here.”
Odyssee Pictures was founded in 2003 by Stacy Davidson, who directed a host of award winning music videos, shorts films, and the feature films Domain of the Damned and Sweatshop. In 2010, Davidson named Larry Carrell Vice President of Odyssee Pictures in a move to grow the company and accelerate the development of genre feature films in Texas.
Jacob is the third feature film to be produced under Odyssee Pictures.
