Sweatshop (directed by Stacy Davidson) screened Friday, November 20th, at 7:30PM at the Tribeca Cinemas, as a part of the New York City Horror Film Festival to a packed house, turning away dozens of horror fans who had been standing in line for an hour in hopes of catching the film.
Screening before the feature were a number of short horror/sci-fi films, including Attackazoids Deploy!!, Sinkhole, Wheels of Death, Hunger, and Death In Charge. Other feature films that played the festival included Must Love Death, Maidenhead, Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet, and The Revenant, which became the only other feature to win awards. Other short films include Thirsty (starring our good friend Joe “Wrong Turn 2″ Lynch) and The Resurrection of Officer Rollins (starring Jason Vorhees 2009, Derek Mears).
When Sweatshop began to a pounding industrial beat, twirling glow sticks illuminated the darkened theater, followed by roaring cheers for every moment of blood and carnage. Afterward, audience members and Sweatshop cast and crew mingled in the adjoining lounge where free “retro” Sweatshop posters were signed and handed out.

It is with enormous pride that I make the announcement that my debut feature film Domain of the Damned was named Fangoria Magazine’s DVD of the Month for January 2009! It should be noted that this was not a major DVD release. We put the DVD together completely in-house and marketed it exclusively online. This is the first time Fangoria Magazine has bestowed this title on, what is essensially, a completely indie release.
Director Stacy Davidson joined producers Leo D. Wheeler and Toni Kaufman at an exquisite dinner ceremony where the award was presented by Domain co-star Nellie Gonzales.
Also present was Buck Rogers star Erin Gray to accept a Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Flesh Keeper available on DVD
Stacy Davidson of Odyssee Pictures serves as cinematographer for director Gerald Nott’s savage blood bath The Flesh Keeper.
“Family is Everything” is the motto of the Joad brothers, a creed held so dear that the siblings will do anything to “take care of their own.” Just how far the Joads will go is something that a group of friends find out when their car unfortunately breaks down in the middle of a Texas road trip.
Hunted down and held hostage, a group of terrified travelers must endure a horrific night of torture and murder as they are forced to play a sadistic game that pits the friends against each other to satisfy the Joad family’s psychotic sense of southern hospitality.
Director Gerald Nott rejoins the cast of The Quick and the Undead for this tale of Texas terror.
The Flesh Keeper stars: Clint Glenn (The Quick and the Undead), Erin McCarthy (The Quick and the Undead), Parrish Randall (Slaughter House), Arianne Martin (Red Victoria), Dion Day (The Quick and the Undead), Morgan McCarthy (Domain of the Damned, Closet Space), Peyton Wetzel (Sweatshop, Closet Space), Jimmy Hazard (The Quick and the Undead), Toar Campbell (The Quick and the Undead).
Stacy Davidson was featured in the May, 2008 issue of Fangoria Magazine! The enormous six-page spread also featured “southern-fried” horror filmmakers Mel House, Marcus Koch, Joe Davison and Gerald Nott. The feature covers five movies all involving Stacy Davidson, inlcuding Domain of the Damned (written and directed), Sweatshop (co-written and directed), Closet Space and 100 Tears (visual effects), and includes a sidebar story on The Fleshkeeper (cinematographer).
